Cool Re: I know its not a Stilo, But...

Wouldnt touch a GP if they bloomn gave me one..been to our dealers today to get panda ABS ecu done on recall and was talking about the gp to them again and they said they are still crap and the build quality is shocking..and that was a dealer talking..so buy at your peril Beryl..or Rob in a skirt in this case..

I tend to notice that when fiat make a car like this they dont seem to get it right and they get tons of problems..when they come to making bread and butter cars they do a better job..just an example is the Panda ..hush my mouth..

I think I might have a 100hp in a few years when they are cheap. If they did a Panda 4x4 T-jet150 or something I would have one like a shot,, but they wont.

Im not a fan of the previous puntos, its just the price point they are at with the interior. I prefer the larger hatchback like the golf/punto/megane etc sized car myself.

Really like the GP in it's sporting guises and the Abarth is of course the one to have, especially in red.

I have got a few friends with GPs and it does seem like some of them are a bit on the flimsy side. Worst seem to be the base model 1.2 8v...an engine that struggled to cope with my old mk 2 Punto.

nearly bought a red 130 jtd GP myself about 2 years ago lovely car to drive and bags of torque. it was an ex demo with 2k miles for £9995, then i seen sense and bought myself an AE86 and Subaru Impreza STi for the money i would ahve shelled out on the GP. hehe, didnt know which car to drive i was spoilt for choice. but in the end up the scooby won everytime.lol

Kinda off topic away from the GP, but what's the STi like to own? Was chatting to a mate who's got a Legacy GTB Twin Turbo and he said the Impreza's not as reliable as people make out. Would still love one though, especially in the classic pre-2001 shape.
