Hurrah, new belt fitted.

Ive got the part number and the packaging from the garage. Aparantly the only difference between this belt and the one from shop4parts is that is says stretchy on it, whereas the other one didnt but they both had the same part number and looked to be the same belt.

Anyway, only time will tell. And get this fookin snow. Only a week early but...

Feckin hell,

On the way homne tonight, ring road/stanningley bypass. Alternator failure followed 2 minutes later by complete power steering failure..

Got home, the feckin belt snapped. Only had it on less than a week!! 70-80mph with no power steering is scary, especially when you get to a round about the wheel hardly boody turns!

And parking was fun, took me like five minutes to get the fecker parked properly. Lol, so its battery out and on charge overnight ...

Thought Id try this out

Half day at work, weather is shit so when I get home gonna try and hook my old minidish back up and see what this freesat is all about. The lazy cow that came from Virgin Media to install our V+ chopped the old satellite coax off and used the exisiting hole in the wall, so going to have to drill a new one.
