Feckin hell,

On the way homne tonight, ring road/stanningley bypass. Alternator failure followed 2 minutes later by complete power steering failure..

Got home, the feckin belt snapped. Only had it on less than a week!! 70-80mph with no power steering is scary, especially when you get to a round about the wheel hardly boody turns!

And parking was fun, took me like five minutes to get the fecker parked properly. Lol, so its battery out and on charge overnight and a quick dash to the garage with the car in the morning.

    He mate,

Bloody belt changed today for another one. Now its slippage central with the thing screaming soon as you go over 1200rpm. So back to the garage tomorrow. I shall mention to the mechanic to remember what the model/spec of the belt is for anone else who needs to know.

I know what you mean about the PAS. My last car without PAS was an MX-5, but I had skinny wheels at the front so never needed it. When I had to park the car nearly killed a pensioner and ended up in the living room..

Ill let you know how I get on tomorrow.

newbie here! sorry for the late respond. I just badly in need of help.... Could anyone here knows what causes alternator error. Mine has a problem. it could not generate enough power...could it be a battery problem too...i already called for car repair but it seems the problem is not totally fixed. when i was driving home last night. the lights went dimmer and after a few seconds it is off. what would i do to fix my problem....
