Default Some exclusive research on Fiat

Fiat is known worldwide for the quality of the product that they make. Founded in 1899 by several entrepreneurs, it is a company that is located in Turin, Italy. As many Fiat lovers may already know, Fiat is actually an acronym that stands for Fabbrica Italiana Automobil Torino, which translated, means Italian Automobile Factory of Turin. Fiat began with its focus on producing cars and other vehicles, however overtime it has widened its scope to include many other industrial things.

Fiat is the 6th largest carmaker in the world, and within the last 40 years, Fiat has been awarded the European Car of the Year award 12 times, which surpasses any other car manufacturer in Europe. Most recently, they were awarded the prize in 2008 for the Fiat Nuova 500. Interestingly enough, Fiat cars are actually produced more outside of Italy than inside of the country. The largest producer is Brazil and there are factories in Argentina and Poland as well.

Fiat is not only the largest carmaker in Italy and the 6th largest in the world, it is also one of the top ten best selling automotive companies and it has the lowest average value for carbon dioxide emissions from cars sold in 2008. While producing quality cars then, they also manage to create cars that are more environmentally friendly than many that are already out there. They also have several cars that have been converted to all electric automobiles, in addition to having the low-carbon dioxide emitting cars.

Fiat has a presence not only in Europe, but also in the United States. In fact, Fiat opened its first American factory in 1908 in New York and began production of cars immediately. They continued successfully until the 1970s and 80s, when they ran into some quality problems and eventually pulled out of the American market. They have enjoyed a comeback though, and in January 2009, they purchased a 35% stake in Chrysler. This marks the return of the Fiat brand to North America, specifically, the United States.

Their latest car is the Fiat 500c, which was available on June 9th this last year. The car is an open-top car that comes with an electric soft top that easily moves. Consequently, you can use the car whenever you please and find it enjoyable whatever the weather and season. The car has several features of interest. For example, when the vehicle stops and the driver places it in neutral, the engine immediately goes off. All you need to do to restart it is to put the car back into gear!

The company prides itself on its innovativeness, dynamism, Italian attention to design, and its versatility. Their cars are classy, sleek and conjure images of an improved quality of your everyday life. Fiat is committed to innovation and changing with the technological advances as they occur. In fact, their brand was redesigned in the last 2 years to provide them with a more current brand that reflected where the company is headed. It is a red and silver color, as it was until the sixties; however its features and form represent Fiat’s movement and dynamism
