hi becky and welcome, new to this particular site myself so just finding my way around
at the moment, i own a fiat stilo jtd that i brought in june, i also have a rover 75 connoisseur,
i bought the stilo as i just sold my fiat marea weekend jtd, it got damaged while parked up by a hit and
run truck so it had to go. what fiat do you have.

Well we are both new then :D at least there is someone else :D ermm.. i own a fiat cinquecento 1997, learnt to drive in it and kept it ever since so i havent got any other cars (i wish), really want the abarth version but they are so rare! I have added bits to my car to make it look different and stand out from all the rest (have a look at my pics on my profile) :D

Just joined myself, not to keen on the cinquecento good leaners and starter car though, i started with an Uno 45 fire, went to Tipo 1.6 i.e. what a bag of @@@@,
then and imported R/H Drive Marea 2.4 Sport Weekend, and now have another import a stilo 3dr 1.8 sport with the abarth handling pack 18 inch alloys, sticks to the road like glue, but hit a bump and you almost break your back oh and the airbag warning light tells you about it too lol. Fiats you gota luv em. anyone know about air con faults on stilos ? Adrian 01

Mine is the fiat cinquecento s (for standard) 1997, thats why i want my car lowered to stick to the road like glue, love my little run about but always wanted a sporting version or an abarth but they are like rocking hore s***
i dont know where i can get the springs for cheap though?? My alloys 13" from the sporting and have been sprayed black with abarth centre caps, put twin stripes on it and i have debadged it with an original fiat badge and an abrath scorpian :D Check out my pics if you want??

if its the warning light start with wireing connections under the front seats
problems with bad connectors a drop of switch cleaner may help BUT NOT WD40

Thanks mate, thats was first thing i tried years ago when i first got it, since then it's had the wiring upgrade on the seat, new ocs sensor, a complete acctuator and bag more recently it's had a remapped SRS ECU, my local fiat specialists Yapps in Cardiff seam to think there is wiring fault between the ECU and the conectors under the seat, if thats the case mega bucks as it's a harness and i ant paying one, we are talking with fiat tech to see if it can be completly disabled.

About your springs Try Demon Tweaks Tuning there in Wrexham Nth Wales, can't remember the web address but do a search on the name and you'll find them, or even try some of the fiat tuning ads on e bay might find something might even find parts form an abarth you could fit, bumpers spoilers and stuff.

Cheers Adrian 01 :D i have looked on ebay before for springs and the only ones i could find were apex, ive been told there alright and i only want to lower my car by 45mm because my med flaps that i have on there are low enough!!

hi adrian seems u have been busy with this one, i brought my 2003 stilo 5 weeks ago with this fault on it
checked seat conectors and anything else but without cure, this tuesday i notice that the central locking
led was not working, so took it out and noticed a dry joint on the pc board repaired and now working,
wednesday i went down to wicks diy and had to drop the back seat down in doing so i had to give it a
little xtra push as it was tight on the back seat, when i got back in the car waiting for the beep beep nothing
no airbag warning light staying on and its been ok ever since, so even if its not a perminate fix at least i
have a good chance of locating the fault to the drivers seat area, so its fingers crossed.
