Thing is though the 1.6 and 2.1 block on a fiesta RST look very very similar externally - if not the same. Whereas there is quite a bit of difference between a 4 pot 1.6 and a 5 pot 2.4 in the stilo, both visually and the weight of it.

If he had a bad accident and an accessor who knew what he was doing had a poke around, im sure he would be far from okay. Insurance companies will do anything not to pay out at the moment.

your exactly right there Dan, insurance companies want anyway out of paying, even if you have a big set of wheels or even tinted windows not declared on your insurance, technically it is not valid. personally i declare nothing to my insurance only what i have to (accidents points all have to be declared as they can check through the police/insurance database) in a nutshell its fraud.

Even if you have put a second hand engine into your car and havent informed the dvla of the change to put that on your v5 insurance companies can look at that as a modification and then again insurance void

You would also have to uprate the brakes if you ever wanted to stop with out using other cars to bounce off.

Well, I'm not going to preach to you but be aware of the severity of the consequences if you 1. can't handle the power and/or 2. get caught out.

Your choice what you do, just don't kill anyone.
