hi i have posted a priviose thread on putting a coupe engine in my stilo. but if that is not possible . will a 2.4 abarth engine fit . thanks

Surely if you are considering putting in a 2.4 Abarth engine, you might as well opt for a 2.4 car rather than have the hassle of changing the engine and paying over the odds on the insurance for having a modified motor?
i think yes, me and red discussed puttin a 2.0 tspark from and alfa into mine. he'd be the man to speak to
yes you could put the abarth engine in with the gbox, loom ecu etc, big enough job, problem is finding a manual abarth for breaking, i could have got an abarth donor car for same conversion about 2 years ago but it was a sillyspeed so would have been a pain sourcing the manual bits
If you did the transplant and did not inform the dvla and insurance then your Insurance would be invalid..![]()

*ThumbsUp* good work Phil forgot to add that, another thing Police over here can check to see what engine your running and if it coincides with the dvla, but it rarely happens
Last time I was over in Irish land we got pulled by the garda we were happily going down this road until one stepped out in the road in the distance and as we got nearer he put his hand up to signal that we stop..turned out the Dave my mate who had been driving had been exceeding the speed limit from the time we left the ferry until the officer pulled us up..he promptly reminded us that Dave had been monitored since the time we had left the ferry and that we weren't now in the UK and the speed limit is not the same ..

yeah its KMH in southern ireland 100kmh on main roads, 50 in built up areas, and 120kmh on motorways, i think not 100% sure but i got locked up by the guards last time i was in the south, shows you how much attention i pay to their speed limits, lol. the north of ireland is same as the mainland, same laws apply
