Default I want to loose weight.

especially under the bonnet. so what can go? i guess the battery cover is a no-no. what about the engine cover? the ecu isnt protected by this. i know it wont save much but i can reduce the length of some vac pipes due to the relocation of the overboost valve and will do this when i get a new one.

any other suggestions? dont forget though this is my everyday car. if it wasnt i would be stripping it all ;D

Smaller windscreen washer reservoir = less weight (contains less water...)
Take the sound insulation off the bonnet.

You can get it weighed at a local tip/landfill/recycling centre. Check with them 1st but they've normally got a weighbridge for smaller vehicles dropping off recyclable waste, might not be as accurate as you'd like though :-\
