    Default Coolant Change

Planning on doing a coolant change on my 1.4 hopfully this weekend.

Done several on Panda's etc, so know the basics, but are there any specific Stilo things I should know?

Is it a remove the bottom hose on the rad job? If so, whats the clip like?

When it comes to re-fill, is the system self bleeding or are there bleed valves?

    Many thanks.

i would just remove the bottom hose and let the engine run for a minute or 2 untill all the coolant is out. replace the pipe and fill the header tank with the engine running. i think its a spring clip. i was thinking of doing a coolant change the other day. haven't got around to doing it.
to bleed the system i would just leave the cap off the header tank.

This is a typical cooling system on the stilo Steve..there will only be one bottom hose eper doesnt show the position of the bottom hose but there is only one TRUST ME..

you will need to remove the expansion tank cap then get to that pesky clip fiat use on their cars[right pain in the aris they are] if its a fiat clip remove it if its a screw type unscrew it till slack and pull it back ..next work the hose back and for to slacken it on the rad and pull off..get ready to get wet wet wet..let the system drain and then replace the bottom hose [use a new clip if necessary ]..refill the system with coolant [using the same thats come out cos many dont mix ] run engine to burp the system [remove air ]and top up with coolant as the coolant level goes down..look at the top area on the rad I think on most fiat rads they have a bleed for burping the rad [removing air]

Yep, bottom Off Side of the rad.

Was going to do it this afternoon, but looking at the clip it's gonna be a 'destroy to remove' job.

So going to replace it with a jubiliee clip, but haven't any big enough, so off to motor factors in a bit to get one and will do change tomorrow.

Also need to bleed rad using bleed screw which located on top off side (on my 1.4 anyways.).
