Ok, my car has come back from the mechanic after having various bits put on and now
Only problem is... Ever since I installed the new steering wheel, I've had low oil pressure warnings, followed by the car cutting out. This is very worrying, but surely it's not to do with the steering wheel? The live terminal on the battery was faintly touching before hand which is why I got all the errors before hand on the car but the new branch unit is on the car so the live terminal is sitting snug on the battery.
Has anyone ever come across this problem before or know how to solve it?
Could well be the oil pressure sensor, or connection both toand from it.. Do you have the 'high' MFD screen? If so see what the it says about oil pressure.
Nah its amber. People are suggesting changing the oil sensor? It was all fine until I disconnected the battery... Then I had a problem with the live terminal and now this lol
Yeah it has had a recent oil change so it's at the correct level, and I've checked the dipstick 3 times now in the last half an hour. Where is the sensor located? I will have a look at it. I've got it booked in to have it put on a diagnostic kit for tomorrow.
Also, would the fitting of cruise control and a steering wheel have caused this?
I took some pictures of the engine bay, but no idea where this sensor is?
Just thinking whether the flashing mileage would have something to do with it as it's technically not completing a curcuit? Just clutching at straws here.
i had this nproblem when my battery was on its way out, the engine cut out, i just overlooked it as i know better than stilo electrics and continued on my merry way, lol
take a look @ the attached pdf i got from my elearn cd for oil pressure switch
