Engine overheating ????????
i was on the M25 last night just cruising along at about 70mph . and the engine just cut out . i pulled over got the bonnet open . and the heat nearly killed me lol the manifold was BRIGHT red . so i deffenitly got to hot . but the temp gauge said it was normal . i left it about 45mins and she started up fine ???? any ideas what this could be ??

is it over fuelling? you'll need to get it looked at, what speed were you doing?
any lights on the dash?

i was doin about 70mph . and no lights on the dash not even the engine light

hmmm, you'll need to get it hooked up to some diagnostic equipment to see what the fuelling is like. the catalytic converter maybe blocked as well. i know it all speculation.

get that seen to ASAP. If the exhaust gasses are getting that hot there must be something not very happy somewhere.
The temperature guage on the car reports the temperature of the coolant so it wouldnt know about your manifold temp.
Like scottie says, you need a diagnostic, just to check that the sensor are working properly and such, otherwise this will seriously mess up your fuelling.
