i dont have that option, im getting all my air from the vent below head light, rushing in from the front and up the wheel arch liner

x3me - what she doesnt know wont hurt her though the 1.6 is very loud with a induction kit, so that may just give the game away

Tis indeed. Was tempted to have the cone sit lower in the bay like a safer version of the GSR layout, but figured I may as well have it in front of the original vent and I've not had any problems since. Tempted to get a heat shield and/or another air feed going to it as it sits pretty much right against one of the rad pipes, which obviously isn't ideal.

And Red, I have to say yours was basically roughly what I was intending as the route's similar - obviously with the exception of going in front of the battery. Just those darn hose sizes that mucked my plans up well and truly. Oh well, it was a learning experience if nothing else

you dont have that option though because of the battery and its lid, its to far forward. eventually i intend to route it like the 145/146. just need to re-seat the battey in better place, sideways would do

then it would have hardly any bends, and get even more air, then i have the room to use a twin cone filter too

the filter is where i want it, not quite far enough in though. still it stays freezing cold. didnt get even slightly warm going up to newcastle last week, so i dont suffer from heat soak either

any, i want to take this route eventually, see where the intake is going
