We actually had a post about this two days ago.. .. Fiat stilo abarth wont go into gear but diagnosing silly speed problems on the internet is really hit and miss you need to get it connected to a diag machine so that a fiat tech can scan all systems working ..thats the best solution for the problem..good luck..

goodluck with that one mate, as phil says take it and get it hooked up to the fiat examiner, goto a dealer or fiat specialist as most garages wouldn't have a clue and they will tell you you need a new box

Sorry I cant help with this but a call to you dealer would give you the answer..good luck with this the selespeed gearbox is not one of my forte's and I would suggest you use a dealer or good indipendant to do an repairs..

i've had my gearbox sorted out nearly 2yrs ago and that was done by Mr.Clutch as my Fiat dealership garage said it's going to be twice the price i've paid, but mines is only 1.6 5 gear box, so i would probably have a look around and still go for dealership or a good known garage for repairs... good luck with it mate

With regards to cost, all I can say is increase the OD!! I went to change the gear possition sensor on the Panda's selespeed box as the 3 pins coming out of it for the electrics were bent and price was about £400 all in!! So out can the pliers and they were gently straightened.

where is the ABS Pump situated mate, as i put that part number into google and it came back that the 1.9 JTD has the same part number?? im breaking a 1.9 jtd and maybe able to help
