Default Big Bolt Fell From My Car - Help!

    hey peeps, is me again.

i was pulling out of a car park the other day and i suddenly heard, clunk clunk, underneath the car. i pulled over and checked nothing was dangling off underneath and all was fine. i traced my path back down the road looking for whatever may have caused the noise and i found a big brassy looking bolt, bit dirty and whatnot. it was a bit warm when i picked it up so i sussed its from my car.

i have no idea where its from tho, ive checked the suspension briefly and can't see any bolts missing, checked the calipers and peered under the engine bay for a brief look, gonna need to get her on a ramp to have a proper look, i think it may be from the sub-frame, there is a bolt still in tight but i can't see beyond it with car been low on the ground.

    anyone have any idea ?

Most bolts are made of steel and some quite high tensil to take stress ..so using brass bolts on anything like suspension systems and mounts would definatly be out of the question,,componants like manifolds and water pumps ect are all bolted in with steel bolts as well..so where the brass one came from is beond me..weired one this..

i hope so, it react like something i'd run over though, especially since i was only driving about 20 - 25 mph at the time. then again, with my car being low it could of been flicked up in the wheel and bounced around the wheel arch for a bit.

tbh i don't know if its brass or what, it's definately brass/goldy looking. defo not steel for one. i'll get a pic up soon.
