Default Oh dear, could be expensive. The lights come on :-(

Started Stilo this evening promptly followed by beep beep beep 'engine failure'.

Whipped out code reader and it came up with P0606 PCM processor fault.

Had a quick google to no avail. Any ideas? Going to plug in fiatecu scan tomorrow when I'm home to see if there is anything specific it brings up.

Not reset the light yet so that fiat ECU scan will see it, but it's not gone out by itself either so could be serious??

no ideas on that one, mine usually used to get the one for the air filter, even when i had a new filter in... it was the bloody wire having no proper contact all solved with some contact cleaner, hopefully it's nothing what it says on the title

That code is specific to the ECU and could really mean anything so its a hard one to understand unless you have an examiner..I would check all connections to the ecu inc D4 and if possible get the car to fiat to have the programming checked..

Take car to Fiat. Please do not swear at me Phil. You know what's against my religion!! Lol

Think I'll leave it for now incase it comes up again. I'll take it as a phantom ghost message.

Well after a little search I find you have fitted a new BMC cda to your car and I think this was probably the reason the ecu logged the code..the car will be flowing extra air with that and the ecu picked that up and was in the process of relearning..as you say three clear starts and all is well again..

Just to chuck a spanner in there Phil, air filter was fitted the evening after the fault code and MIL came up. Lol.

I thought sods law just before I fit it, but haven't had any issues since the original MIL activation or since the filter has been fitted.
