Question please tell me how i remove this oil sump plug

This should be a simple task but i am learning that nothing is simple when the worlds FIAT and STILO are involved.

trying to change the oil in my 19.jtd stilo multiwagon and got stuck at the sump plug.

    how do i remove it??

i tried sticking an allen key in the whole as you do, 8mm to small and 10mm to big.

the outer edge of the plug look like someones attached them with pliers at some point.

    cheers

Looks strange. I'm not familiar with this engine but normally you need a sump removal key which normally looks like a reverse socket. You sure that it defiantly the sump plug? Its not got a cover on it has it?

i'm 90% sure its the sump plug, its the only thing on the bottom of the sump.
didn't check to see if it was a cover, didn't look like one as i'm sure i could see the copper washer between the sump and it.
with my luck it could be an experimental plug fiat tried once.

Its not at the bottom but at the side is it? Some are like this on the lower part of one of the sides.

went to my local lancia garage (they also do fiats) and spoke to the bloke and he confirmed that i am looking at the sump plug, got a nice new one to go in after i hammer this one off.
looks like that how they did it during the last service.
i also looked at the stilo e-manual thing and one of the diagrams show it to be the same location.
i'll be attacking it tomorrow morning.

forgot to update this, it was the sump plug and half an hour with a hammer and chisel it decided that it would finally come off.
