Hello to all! I recently bought a used 1.6 2002 stilo.
The car runs perfect but i have some warning messages on the dashboard.
The warning are: alternator failure,car security and engine fault. Beep Beep they flash for a second and then dissapear...Sometimes the yellow engine warning light stays on.When i switch on and off it dissapear...And sometimes the car checks all ok and i start normally.Also the very first ignition seems to delay for 2-3 seconds
I only have this problems when i start the car.While driving nothing flashes.
2 weeks ago i gave it a good service at my local garage.Also the mechanic checked the alternator and it charges ok and cleaned the throttle body.He told me there is nothing wrong with the car and he reset all the faults.For a few days i had a clean dashboard but later on i had all the above.
I'm so confused
I wonder if there is really a problem probably electrical or all of these are phantom warnings...
Maybe my buttery is dying?
Maybe a sensor is going crazy?
Maybe my circuits needs a good clean?
I don't know very much about cars so any advice would be much appreciated.
