Car jumping when i accelerate!

Ive started to notice that my car jumps when i accelerate. The harder i accelerate the more it does it. If i take it easy and keep the speed right down it doesnt jump at all. However pulling off etc.. it jolts/jumps. Any idea's grately appreciated.

What engine is it? Can you describe 'jumping' please.

It's the 1.4 i think it's misfiring any idea of the causes???

hi quite new to here but iv been suffering form the same problem on the 1.6 16v try the coil packs mate seem to be a common fault from what iv hurd from fiat main dealer

I'd start with coil packs. However there are 4 and it'll probably only be 1 doing it and is both costly and pointless in changing them all if you don't have to.

Have you have the MIL come on?

Might be worth removing the air filter housing, and un-plugging them all, removing them all and check for anything obvious, damage etc. Then put them back in. Moving them out and in may resolve a loose connection.

When was it last serviced and the spark plugs changed?
