Hello

I've had this problem for a while now, sometimes when using the accelerator and under 2k revs the car losses power as if i've taken my foot of the pedal. Anyway I had the car put onto a diagnostics machine (not Fiat) and it picked up an EGR valve fault, which I understand can be a cause. Therefore a friend of mine blocked it off and it was fine for a while. It has happened since but comes and goes, sometimes it can be fine for a while and then happens alot. However when I had the car at Fiat for another fault, Fiats diagnostics didn't report any EGR valve problems. Anyway our friend did think it could be something to do with the fuel lines maybe getting blocked and thus causing the loss of power but then quickly dismissed it. I've been thinking though, could this be a possible cause? Say the fuel filter needs changing would it not cause all the crap to get into the fuel system and cause this?

id change the fuel filter any way just in case wont cost much if you do it your self good luck
