Hi all,

I have a 1.6 16v and was told by the garage that the cam key was sheared off inlet cam, also there is no valve damage at all!

It doesn't make sense to me! lol!

Why wouldn't there be any damage to the valves if the cam stopped spinning??

It's got 35k miles, 04 plate. The mechanic also didn't have any idea what could have caused it, so to save any hassle, I have replaced the camshaft, head, pulley wheel amongst other bits and pieces.
