Personally though on the "live" remap issue, yes they are better but at a large premium, and only (In my own opinion) only worth getting if you have modified your vehicle so much from stock, that you need to take into account all the modifications.
A Exhaust change and Induction kit, and putting stripes down the front of the bonnet doesn;t matter on a "normal" remap.
Scottie if you decide to get involved in the Remapping side of things, and decide on the "read, save, Send, Write" option ,let me know and i can seek out a good dealer for you. Or i may have some kit here at a good "fsoc type" price. ;)
In respect to rolling road I didnt mean a full custom map, I meant as in they actually know about the car. ie, if its not running to well, not serviced, underlying issues.

Thats the only reason im going the route I am, just to make sure my car is actually running properly before I get it done.

Cool Re: who is interested in remaps?

The number of people that dont keep the basic services up to date and expect a map to improve things beggars belief i HAVE SEEEN IT TIME AND TIME AGAIN WHERE THE CLUTCH MAYBE ON THE WAY OUT OR SOME ELECTRONIC PROBLEM IS ON GOING WITH THE CAR AND YET THESE PEOPLE STILL GET THE MAP DONE AND THEN WONDER WHY THE CAR IS RUNNING UNDER PAR..[Oops caps] induction on its own say on the 1.2/4 engine are not worth the money spent at best you will be lucky to see 5hp and another 5 with a map ..if people payed at much attention to the mechanical condition and electronic condition they would be surprised how well efficiently the car would run in the first place..

Regular servicing and mainenance goes a long way to keeping a car tip-top but sadly people do skimp on the essentials and then wonder why issues occur.

A 'health check' would be ideal before a remap to ensure the car is ok and will handle the remap otherwise I would imagine you'd cause potential damage.
