About LinkBacksmy brother-in-law has got a "x" reg Punto and when he stops at lights or junctions it keeps cutting out....any ideas lads....thought i would ask becasue you have all helped me out so much the last couple of months.

Re: non stilo but still a fiat question.... Air flow meter perhaps, fuel filter blocked, coil, what type of punto please? Engine size and type would help. How does it run when moving? etc etc, The more detail the greater chance of help

its a 1.2 petrol....its ok when its running it just when its stationary or coming to a stop.

Re: non stilo but still a fiat question.... yeah mate checked all that everything looks fine....i think i am going to check the fuel filter next....just been doing some digging on the t'internet and this seems a coman fault....what do you think mucker?
Re: non stilo but still a fiat question.... im not too sure mate, i have a 96 saxo here with a similar problem, took it to 3 mechanics and they couldnt solve it so, im not too bothered, might break the car. i think my problem maybe electrical
Re: non stilo but still a fiat question.... ~I reckon the Ari Flow meter is a good starting point. Take it off, give it a clean (Be gentle mind!)

Re: non stilo but still a fiat question.... Is he getting the red light on the dash? My old Punto HGT used to do this, different engine probably but it was the cam sensor. As it was a cambelt off job I got rid of the car, wasnt worth getting done..
