funny you posted this Mike, Wheeler Dealer have just rerun the episode were they restored an 8v Intergrale and it got me thinkning,....Hmmmm
I really do LOVE those cars (Of course the 16v s better bu if you have a good one, who cares)

I love the Integrales. Gorgeous cars. Have heard they're surprisingly robust if well cared for as well.

Integrale has probably only recently been usurped as one of the fastest cars point to point in real road conditions. In all forms they're damn impressive, but having worked on them and rebuilt a 16 valve engine they're a bloody nightmare unless you've got deep pockets..... which is a shame really.
The turbo lag and roughness compared to (say) a Fiat coupe 2 litre 20v turbo is noticeable, but the 'grale is still hugely potent and handily bloody practical too.
My choice would have to be an early 8 valve, amongst the lightest and 'purest' of the breed..... but I wouldn't object to anyone of them on my drive. The wife on the other hand...... ahhhhhhh

yes..... don't think she'd be so happy. Unless it were a yellow EVO2. Hmmmm thinks.....
