Oh yes may well be.
I think I've found the resivour. In the boot in bits. lol.
So looking at replacing it and ordering the relevent hydraulic fluid.

I already have the disc and couldnt find any info on it relating to duel logic..
International man of mystery
Wit, sarcasm, you get it all from me..

Re: Dual Logic Hydraulic Actuating System
If possible I would recommend getting it to a dealer, or getting a decent mobile mechanic out with a decent diagnostic setup.
A lot of the calibration functions are carried out with the examiner on the duallogic as they are with the selespeed. With the examiner connected you can pure and pressurise the system and bleed it. The main issue is the actuators can screw up from lack of pump pressure. So if ther car has been stood a while it could be that by trying to pressurise the system again you cause some damage.
Also when I say examiner, there are other solutions these days from the likes of Bosch, Snap-on, Actia or Sun that offer suppor for the ECU's these gearboxes use and can carry out these functions.
Good luck with it! Look forward to reading more about it!

Ta for that. My mechanic has a Ethos Snap-on. Re-set service light on Stilo, so might talk to the Panda. Will speak to him to see about getting him to visit us as getting the car to dealer (10 miles away) could prove costly.
So simply replacing resiviour and re-filling it with CS Speed fluid will be no good? Having spoken to main Dealer yesterday they mentioned that its easiler to top-up (didntknow resivour was US'ed in the Boot at this point) when the system has been de-pressurised (which I assume it is now)?
Other side of the fence, I've manually disguaged the clutch so I can push the car around the drive. Would it be possible to tow the car? I've all the equipment to do it legally, but not sure if as its still an auto its like conventional ones and shouldn't be towed?
Jon.

Re: Dual Logic Hydraulic Actuating System
Hi jon,
No its not like the traditional autos. Its a manual really with with the actuators doing the gearchanges and clutch movement, so by disengaging the clutch you should be good to tow it. Snap-on are pretty good with updates so if he has the service reset functionality I would have thought he has the fiat modules on the scanner and it will already support the duallogic ecu. If not and he/she is still subscribed he should be able to update it.
edit, forgot to answer the first bit...
I had the system purged on my car last year. They said it was completely done on examiner as the car has to set the actuators in a certain way up to prime the system from being emptied. I know it can cause serious damage to the actuators if they arent run under the correct pressure or if you en dup with air in there.

Re: Dual Logic Hydraulic Actuating System
Many thanks for the heads up Dahans. Will look into getting it done on diagnostics then.
Just wondering though, looking from the otherside of the fence, and assuming Fiat done yours, could it not be a case that they are saying this, just so you take it in for them to do? Did you see them do it out of interest with the diagnostics etc?
