Tell me about it! It means it will always be a bumper off jobby to get below the housing. Annoying given the very limited space I have to work in and not to mention it being on a steep drive lol!

Right, been a little while since I updated this. Not much progress TBH. Weather has been pants, and was busy with other bits and bobs. During the beginning of the week I order and collected replacement oil pressure sensor, A/C Pressure sensor, Small bit of coolant pipe that needs replacing due to small hole, and cooling fan.

All bits have arrived and were collected on Wednesday.

Got to work yesterday. Fitted new oil pressure sensor, and went to replace coolant pipe only to find they've supplied the wrong one, so will be getting that changed (and taking origional along to show).

Cooling fan I've got is finally the right one, bloody pricey mind, but needs must in this case unfortunatly.

Set about trying to sort this leak on th gearbox pump pipe again yesterday. Tried different washers etc to no avail, dads looks and come to the same conclusion as me, so off to get a new pipe for that. Turns out the ePer I was using was a little out of date, and this pipe is in the region of £50-£60

So will order that on Monday along with changing the incorrect coolant pipe.

It also looks like I'll be needing a replacement subframe also which I'm not looking forward to the price of

I'll do a price update on project in a bit, as paper work is still in the Stilo at the mo (somewhere between the front passenger footwell, rear footwells and boot

Well, good things come to those who wait! I now have a working gearbox

Fitted replacement hydraulic pipe yesterday, and filled resiviour up. Pressurised system, and jumped in the car, and it went in and out of gear and through them all, and has driven about the driveway ok

Fitted front wings, and front pannel. Went to fit cooling system, but need to get some bottom rubber mounts for the radiator (anyone got a working ePer?).

Discovered a Panda in a not so local scrappy (as well as Stilo of the same age and colour as mine, so aquired the boot and rear bumper) and managed to get the subframe (was removed for me also ) for £75, compaired to £398+vat new from Fiat.

So am going to be fitting that next week.

Panda project is finally coming together

    Pic's:
The origional defective high pressure pipe join from pump

Old pipe next to new pipe (can see how screwed up the old one was)

Pannels are not alined (sp?) properly yet as they'll need to come off again for painting.

indeed impressive project, You didn't really have to go back to the dealer for the pipe. Any motor factor will make the pipe up for ya once you know the length. The fitments are M10x1. Assuming they are same as the brakes found in all other fiat.

Hope you get it finished! I remember we done something like this with the Honda Del sol, love overcame everything, ended up spending way too much money on it! This defo looks profitable. How much do these cars sell for ?

Sell for about £7-£7500 with 10k on the clock. Although this is a CAT-D write off the ultra low mileage should of-set that. Expecting around £6.5k though to play it safe, thats if dad doesn't buy it at cost.
