Fiat working on 80g/km hybrid city car

an entry-level hybrid drivetrain that Fiat is currently developing could reduce the CO2 emissions of its petrol-powered city cars to only 80g/km the system would be offered as an option on the 500 and next-generation Panda Puntos are also likely to have this system in the future

Thanks for that..personally I think the way forward is electric..get rid of fossle fuel completely for a cleaner environment..

Hmmm, looks like Fiat are behind before they even start. If Toyota can get 80kg from a 1.8 hybrid petrol engine in their new Auris then Fiat should be able to do better with their smaller engines. TBH will still be free RFL though.

Don't know if they'll turn it into a propper Hybrid though. Toyota are the only ones so far.
