    Default Typical Fiat

14months old, 4k on the clock and its going like a steam train!

Started, after sitting for about 4 days, and massive missfire (started first time though, lol), for about 5 seconds, and aload of crap came out the exhaust (saw it gust past the car) which smelt like soot from a steam train!

It then ran ok, appart from a problem with the rev's not settling. Don't think its linked, but video is below (ignore swearing at the end, wasn't a happy bunny!)

YouTube - 2009 Fiat Panda Eleganza Dual-Logic FBW throttle fault

    Any idea's?

This is cropping up more and more on the panda now..first off Jon get the ecu read to see if there is a code logged on..faults know so far on this issue are TPS on the throtte body ..throttle body its self ..throttle pedal cos the car is fly by wire and has a sensor on it which reads throttle position to the ecu and the biggy is the ecu its self at a wopping £760 ..after you read the code/s if there are any I would disconnect the battery for a while to see if the ecu resets..

Thanks Phil. Will read the ECU. I've just downloaded the free version of fiatecuscan so will try that with my nice new lead.

If there is a fault we might get to see how Fiat honour their warrantee on salvage vehicles!! Lol

Would a throttle relearn work ( ignition on and left for a min before starting like on the stilos?)

If you now where to search there is alway usually an answer.. good site to join up to for electronics issues..

FiatECUScan Forum • View topic - service reset possible on a Panda if I get invalid iso code?

Not applicable to your dilema but no doubt there is info some where on there..
