HELP I AM USELESS FIAT PUNTO< clutch making random clicking noises

Dear Fiat guys,

Please bare with me i am a bit useless when it comes to cars hence why i joined the forum to get some knowledge and maybe have a clue.

My fiat Punto 60 s team year 2000, clutch has started to make clicking noises when pressed to the floor, like a click sometimes it passes sometimes it doesnt this is the first day.

Now first real question is this vehicl a hydraulic clutch or cable.

what could it be, obviously i want it fixed asap but i am phoning round for prices and cant answer this simple question .

Any one got any clues,

I love this car it was cheap and only had back exhaust prob in 2 years and its now 10 years old. i dont want to let it get into a bad condition.

Strange one this cos as far as i know the Mk1 only went from 93 to 97..they also use both forms of actuation..cable and hydraulic..

A look underneath at the gearbox would give you the answer..lets rule this out first before we go on any further
