    Default radiator fan comes on when i switch the ignition on and stays on

    when the ignition gets switched on the fan comes on and stays on till the ignition is switched of any idea why this would be

    What engine have you got? Just there were two systems used on the Stilo depending uponthe engine it's either ECU controlled, or has it's only mini ECU on the fan unit I think.

    1.2 that be (I assume its a Petrol?).

    For some reason I thought it was a Stilo. Me bad.

    On a better note though, it was only yesterday I was faffing with a cooing system on my mates 1998 R-reg 1.2 60S lol (after doing the head gasket on it on Monday). My first guess would be the thermostatic switch on the radiator. Best way to check this is to disconnect it and then turn the ignition on and see if its still constantly running or not.
