It's been a while since my stilo gave me a really nice warm feeling inside, you know the one that just makes you grin like a cheshire cat. The last time I felt like that whilst I was behind the wheel of my stilo was when I went to Newbury (a 300mile round trip) to pick up my claws about 2 years ago and when I picked her up from Birmingham.

Honestly now I get it the stilo is a GT car as far as I'm concerned stick it on a motorway, put some beats on, point it in the right direct and off you go. The ride was good and she was comfy as heck the Mrs even had a nice sleep!!!

Saturday I drove to Sidcup, Kent 198miles away from Crewe and have never felt like I did in any other car. The stilo by far surpassesd all of my expectations and with some of the trouble I've had with her she has proven herself worthy. We cruised all the way to Kent passing broken down Mercs, BMWs the lot without a glitch. And I was only happy to get back in and drive back the following morning.

In my we lickle brava 5th gear could not manage the hillls but in the stilo she did very well in sixth all the way through to Kent the only time I had to change down was at the toll booths and that was it. and the consumption wasn't bad either I came back with enough fuel to last me a week.

So there you have it I have now fallen in love with my stilo 3 times now

i used to feel like that quite often, nowadays its not really the case up untill about a fortnight ago, i broke the gearknob off the shifter and could only get 1st 3rd 5th and about 5 minutes of fiddling to get reverse so i parked it up and took the ST3 Focus out for a few days. about 350 miles and just a bit over £100 in petrol i was glad to get back into the stilo and be back to good old fuel economy.

Well, nothing wrong with them. Mine never gave me any grief ever, and boy it took some abuse. Totally outhandle a Stilo as well.

But anyway, garage phoned shes fixed. £577 later.....

Glad to hear she's fixed, shame about the bill but guessing it could've been much worse if a new engine were required.

Have to say I've only driven one Pug - a 106 and it was an absolutely brilliant little car. I know it's a cliché, but it really did handle like a go-kart...tempts me to get a GTi, which I'll add to the possibles list that's about a foot long already

With RGZ there's good days and bad. Like at the moment - I get her serviced, wash her twice in as many weeks, treat her to some decals, refurbed floormats and what do I get...dodgy noises which COULD be attributed to the engine mount being replaced on Thursday but COULD be something else. Hoping it's the former of course as the guys only charging me £50 to get it changed incl labour :)

When she's on form though, I do rather like my RGZ. Handles pretty decently now though wish the steering was more direct and sounds rather good now too though almost hankering after more volume. Does that latter comment mean I'm turning into a chav?
