stilo electrics fail
hi,i'm a newbie and i need your help. a few weeks ago,a lot of non-essential electrics all failed at once,eg. rear parking sensor, rear window heater, steering wheel audio controls, rain sensor.i can't even set the time and date on the LCD display. checked the fuses and had the battery checked.was told the battery wasn't holding the voltage when turned on,so i bought a new one (it was 6 years old anyway) alas tho, nothing has changed,so whats wrong?

Have you check all the connections on the D4 plug unit on the battery?

can't say that i have,i don't know too much about car engines and electrics. i was going to take it into a garage to have it checked out but thought this site was worth a punt. so (idiot head on) what is a D plug and how do i check it. thanks.

It's the terminal of connections that go on the +ve battery terminal. Just check all the contacts are clean tight and that it's not getting damp.
