Hello members and guests..this time around we are going to replace a lower suspension arm on your stilo..procedure for all models is the same..

First off as always lets show you what the arm looks like..





First off jack up the car and support firmly on an axle stand..obviously not under the arm you need to remove..

Next up you have to remove three bolts ..two are fixed to the frame and one fixed to the hub carrier at the base and in this case is a swiveling joint..bolts need to be removed in this order..looking at the diagram and working from bottom to top in anticlockwise rotation first remove the bolt from the large circular rubberised mount 1B..next to remove is the centre one in the diagram this one looks like its a cotton reel 1a..and last up is the joint under the hub carrier..top left in the diagram..to remove the arm on the joint you will need to brake the taper of the swivel joint..and we use a joint splitter to do this..

Splitters come in different types but this is the most common type and the cheapest to purchase



The bolt holding the joint in is already out so Insert the fork of the splitter between joint on the arm and hub carrier and give it a jolly good whack..take that!!!.. the arm then should come free of the carrier..fitting back is in reverse order..last to first..making sure you tightening all the bolts nice and tight..:)
