Hi members here is a guide for replacing the starter motor on a 1.6 stilo ..when members are in need I respond if possible so eyes down and here we go..

First off a pic..



And now here's how you proceed..

Jack up your car and support on two axle stands..you will now have to remove the under tray if fitted to get at the engine bay under there but if you haven't got one then proceed as follows..

Disconnect battery..then unscrew the top bolt of the starter motor..next open the protective cover [motor wiring] then undo nuts 2a and disconnect wiring 2b..then take off the wiring and undo the rest of the bolts holding the motor in place..pull out and there you have it..new one goes back in ..in the opposite to removing..jobs a good one..:)
