Here is a quick guide to my cruise control i fitted yesterday (thursday 24th May 2007)

i picked up an alfa 147 stalk from my fiat dealer for £46 inc VAT, the stalk is a slightly differentcolour, black, but as you will see from the pictures, it\'s as little as make no difference!!

1st picture is what the stalk should look like.

Right first you need to remove the shroud and look for a white connector like this
see it dangling down on the left??

Offer the stalk up just underneath the indicator, you will see where it goes, and it will just click into place, then you need to replace one of the gold coloured screws, with a slightly longer one so that its held firmly in place.

Next take the plug from the stalk, and connect it to the plug you found if you got it at all, and click together!
This one to the other one shown at the begining

Then if you have\'nt got the new shroud you will need to modify the old one ever so slightly, you need to cut a piece of plastic out of the shroud near the indicator in order for the shoud to fit, like this.

Then clip the shroud back into place after wrestleing it past the steering reach and rake adjuster, put the three screws back in you\'ve taken out and you now have cruise control, and as you can see the cruise stalk off the 147 is hardly any different
