hands free mic
Hi, first post here from me....sure it wont be last!
Just bought stilo abarth and had a few teething problems, one that I cant solve is that the mic on ConnectNAV+ does not appear to be working...can hear caller at other end perfectly but they can't hear me for toffee!
It is an 04 plate and the software version is 9.8...all else is well!!!!(touch wood)
Any ideas much appreciated.
Cheers, Dave

Re: hands free mic
First thing to try is to record a voice memo on the unit.
If that works then it means the problem probably lies with the GSM module in the radio... If it doesnt then can move on checking wiring etc.

Re: hands free mic
Right, we you to check the connections round the back of the radio. I take it everything else is okay with the radio, you get the time/date and temperature on the screen?
To the rear of the radio is a multiway connector which is white in colour ( 18pin). This carries the microphone signal amongst others. I would unclip it and plug it back in and check the recording again, if not try recording while wiggling the cable around and see if it is a loose connection.
Microphones do not really just fail like that, unless they have been immersed in water or something, and even so, you still get something recorded.
Ill get some pics up later.

Re: hands free mic
If you look at the front of the unit you will see two holes at either side of the cd slot, one next to the eject button and one the other side. YOu basically slot two long pins into those holes - I personally use two slim screwdrivers.
You push them in and it releases the fixing clips on the inside and the unit just pulls out.
See in the pic attached
