As to your q about the clearence stuff it all works. Normally it's just stuff that has been returned
    a) because a customer does not like/want it within 14 days after purchase but unit or item still functional
    b) repaired and returned to store
    c) box damaged or contents incomplete/missing e.g. manuals or remotes
    d) ex display model

I know this cos I used to work in currys part time (Saving up for Beast 1). Either way it still carries a warranty and the store by law has an obligation to repair or refund within the 1st 6years even if their small print says other wise that is the law.

Cheapo, alpine and navigation DVDs are rarely in the same sentence. I had a NVE-055 CD based one and they were £150 quid! so never bothered and ran it with a 2001 map..

Best bet is the torrent sites, emule or newsgroups.. for a start you will need the part code for the CD for the UK, then google it.. There are different alpine discs for different units ( CD, DVD no touchscreen, DVD touchscreen at least....)
I really would recommend getting a switched live in there though, this means the radio will switch itself on and off with the ignition key - much better.

I think you can piggyback a cable from the steering column or failing that the cig lighter..

    Best of luck

I think the only place that has these files is the edonkey networks.

Search on figator.com and it will show you, but it doesnt say what region the disks are.. Figator.com: search results for 'smart map pro'

Its the Smart Map Pro NVD-T333 that you need, Euro version.

You can download emule, get the latest server.met files and try it. But be very very careful what you download, its spammed to sh*t with viruses

    Dan

EDIT: Have a look on www.digital-kaos.co.uk, or it might be worth asking. I wouldnt go asking for it in your first post though, you wont get far. There is some real gems for download through that site its an excellent community - see the garage section.
