Default I want 2 swap my Connect Nav+ 4 standard

Hi, i want to ditch my Connect Nav+ and changer and put in the standard cd unit. i have 2 questions, 1 is it a simple swap or is there all sorts of wires and bits that need changing and 2, if i was to do a swap with some one, would i need to pay them money to make it a fair deal or would the other guy pay me to make it fair? I dont mind either way really but i dont know if these things are worth anything or if they are considered a pain and its not just me that wants shot! the unit works fine but its too complicated for my wife and it also makes lots of clicking when you start the car each time and when you turn off. Drives me mad.... any one know why it does this? Thanks

You can change it for a standard CD player no problem.

But... You will lose the ability to set the clock, auto door locking, independent boot lock opening and all the other parts in the vehicle setup.

The only way around the clock is with the use of a diagnostic interface. If I were you I would keep hold of the headunit, with the clicking it sounds faulty anyway, and buy a CD player from ebay (they go for £90-100ish when they are available).

    regards
