    Default connect nav any good?

    Hi all,
I'm considering getting a connectnav for the stilo, but I'm struggling to find much info in regards to how good the NAV part actually is. Can you search by full post codes etc? Opions please!
Only 9.80KB for a sig? WTF.

    Hi Ecion,

Ive got one. I have seen people say you can do postcode search in London, but generally no it doesnt. Mine works quite well, handy for shortcuts and the like but I personally wouldnt pay £250 for one.

The MP3 playback from CD is pretty crap, it doesnt remember the current track/time when the unit is powered off, even on a normal Audio CD.

I have'nt had any problem entering just a postcode anywhere in scotland ,comes up with address no problem at all
But agree dan would'nt pay the 250 to replace ,,,the reason i am still trying to get the cd multichanger to work is as dan says main cd player when switched off will start to play from the start when switched on again,it does this because if you put in a sat nav disc it needs to run from the start ,so the head unit has been designed to do so ,hence the need to have a working cd multichanger you can then use that for music playback
I am getting closer to cd multichanger working tho i have got it to "de-code" using the cn+ and not a visteron head unit ,,and also have the cn+ asking for the new code by having it in the cdc and pushing the voice recognition twice it asks you for the code WOW getting their will do a How too shortly

thanks for the reply guys, I've been looking on youtube for a video of one in action, but not having much luck.

Also, do you know if it can navigate mp3 folders? I've had headunits before when it would view all the files as one folder, and just play from a - z. But the last one I had you could move from folder to folder, excellent for albums etc.

It doesnt really browse folders well as such. You hold the skip forward button and it jumps folders iirc. It doesnt handle very high bitrate MP3's very well. It doesnt have auxilary inputs either. All the stuff like running xboxes and cameras through it requires opening the thing up and hacking it to do those tasks.

I just had another look at mine. Where do you enter your postcodes? Ive got 07/08 and 08/09 map CD's and neither of mine seem to have anywhere to enter a postcode
