have a look @ this link if your looking to build a sub box Speaker Enclosure Volume Calculator
there is a calculator @ the bottom of the page so you can calculate the volume of air needed for an enclosure.

i built my own box, i changed all the standard speakers ran them through an amp then have 2x10" Kicker subs and set of 6x9s running through another one. Havent bust the box yet but to stop vibrations through car i had to sound proof boot and part of back pannels, still get the odd vibrations thoo!

but why did you put the 6x9's on the top of the box? parcel shelf is way better place for them speakers, and it's better to have a vented box a sub/subs imho... it does look like a quality job

don't worry mate alterations will be made this week! cause i blew up an amp and fucked the wiring into a right mess. 6x9s going into parcel shelf.. 2 subs goin into the corners at an angle and possibly putting a third in the middle. anyone know audio heads from northern ireland tat could help me wire it all up again?, will stick a pic up of the wiring now. its a complete mess!
