Default rear view camera and speed pulse generator

    hi,
maybe any1 of you guys know where i could buy a rear view camera for my HU as i dont want to pay nearly £200 for a pioneer one, obviously it is a good thing, but i think it's overcharged a bit and the speed pulse generator something as this Multi-Function CAN BUS Speed Pulse Interface 25-500 on eBay (end time 16-Mar-10 16:00:29 GMT) as i need it for my sat nav to work properly when there's not satelites in the area, but i was hoping to spend something like £30-£40 on it, not blooming £80
any help would be much appreciated
    cheers

i'm after a camera and a speed pulse generator, well i'm not too sure about the second one, as i've been told in the avicx1 forums that it can be found here: the fusebox blue connector (white part) position 7 or 10 white/purple or green/white or blue/white. not too sure if it will work as loads of ppl said that stilos doesnt have one...
as for the camera i'm quite keen on getting this one of fleebay: Car Rear view Color Wide angle night Camera Waterproof on eBay (end time 14-Mar-10 08:52:21 GMT) as i dont want to spend loads on it as said before like this one on fleebay again: Pioneer ND-BC2 Universal Reversing Parking Camera on eBay (end time 17-Mar-10 0907 GMT) a bit too much overpriced

Usually the speedo, but seen as the car uses CANbus the speedo gets the speed from that. There is a signal that comes from the ABS system to the ECU i believe but dont know if this would be electrically compatible or even 'pulse' that your satnav can use.

I think I'm still missing something. Why do you need it? Surly camera will just plug into the OP's HU?

The speed pulse is nothing to do with the camera, its for improved accuracy of the satnav when no or few satellites are available.

right in the spot dan and you're deffinately right about the abs system, i'm pretty sure thats the place to get it from, but the thing is that i would need to know witch wire is for what, as i dont want to **** anything up on it knowing, that the stilos are gentle towards all the electrical issues...
i've mocked around for a bit and here's what i've got:

the connector and the loom are marked with the red arrow
does any1 at all knows what that loom consists of? i mean i only probably need just these: position 7 or 10 white/purple or green/white or blue/white.
    cheers

well i've been digging around and there's quite a few ppl that told me that there is speed pulse in stilos, althou there were a few that said that it doesnt exist including the bloke from safe and sound(maybe cause he wants me to buy a generator from them for £70)... well anyhow another lad in the avicx1 forum said to look at these, can some1 tell me if he could be right?
    here's his post:
This car is equipped with a CAN-Bus system. However, there might be an analog speedsignal available. The EMS is located in the engine compartment. (pictures to follow)

    ABS 42-way connector position 37 white/purple

    or ABS 26-way connector position 23 blue/white

or fusebox blue connector (white part) position 7 or 10 white/purple or green/white or blue/white

and it does look like fiat's, well maybe 5dr version fusebox... and blue connector in last pic has got a wire sticking out...

well i can tell now that Fiat Stilo does have a speed pulse on it! no matter what every1 else said i've managed to get a wire thru and connected it from the fusebox blue connector white part position 7 white/purple colour(pic attached) to my pioneers hideaway box and it does go, had to do a reset afterwards so it's still learning all the stuff(slope, acceleration, speed, directions and so forth).
and i've ordered the camera witch should be with me this week hopefully... after i've managed to clip that onto the car will post some piccies
