It shouldn't need the code if it's an OEM unit that's been in the car from new as the CanBus system should recognise it.

    Hi Scottie

Thanks buddy for the reply The Serial Number on the CD Player Which is of Blue Spot (Blauntput) Manufacture is :- 7607 769 150 Product Number:- 735 273 184 This is all that is on the CD Player

Now the Radio has a number on it begining M049853

Aslo Fiat Part Number: 735296994 Model No. OA

The Radio was manufactured in Portugal

That's all the info on the entertainment Equipment.

A point I did not mention was The First garage repaired the Heater which meant Removing the dashbord completly after this the indicators speedo would not work We then took it to a garage who sells Fiat spares they had to fitt a fresh Dashboard as they said the previous garage had wrecked it and was no good. It is since the new dashbord was fitted that the problem with the radio and CD Player occured As I said the Tape player which is interegal with the Radio Works Fine its just the radio & CD thats not working The radio comes on with the station Frequency's showing you can tune the radio and store the station frequency in allright but all you get from the radio is a hissing sound The cd player is dead it will not load Discs at all it displays the track on the radio but not the right one some times it says 5 for 1 so that's about all I can say about this problem.

Would appreciate if you can help Thanks

Hi mate, sorry for the lateness in my reply, i am flat out buildin my new website.
my software returns the following radio code: 6162
as for the rest of your problems i have no idea mate. was the radio workin okay prior? is all of the connections tight at the back? maybe the aerial has been disconnected to give you the hissing sound.

Default Fiat Stilo 1.9jtd Radio Faulty

    Hi Robert

Yes the radio worked ok before the new dash board was fitted I am a retired Radio TV Engineer/Electrician I checked the aerial but I think there mybe an amplifier fitted as there is no diect continuity through from aerial to plug I connected a lenght of wire from the set which should give it enough signal to get somthing but just white Noise. all connection appear to be sound.
unless there is a feed to an signal amlifier that is not connected I can't think of anything else.
But when I went on the internet a guy had exeactly the same problem he said he came on this site and got the code then it worked so i thought mybe its the same problem.

Hi Norman, i really have no idea what the problem could be then mate
that code should work okay. the radio itself could have a fault or maybe the aerial wire has been cut somewhere through the refitting. but if you connected a wire and still got white noise then i would say the fault lies in the unit.
i would very much doubt your unit has an external amplifier fitted. as there are no RCA's in standard units to fit an 'amp' but if i recall correctly there are ways and means of connecting on through the cutting of the speaker outputs.

sorry i cant be of any help mate.

    Hi Robert

Thanks for all your trouble I dont know how to input the code on this radio It usually means holding down two/three buttons at the same time, to enter the code number.

Do you have any idea how to enter the code you supplied me with into this radio.
I would be very much obliged if you could let me know so as I can try this to find out ,one way or the other if this is the problem !
    Many thanks!

when it asks for code i think you press the number 1 button the and the number 2 button number 3 button and number 4 button mate
    press them number 1 -6times
    number 2- 1 time
    number 3 - 6 times
    number 4 - 2times
then press number 5 to input code.
now thats how i think it is done. i am not 100% sure as its a looooonnnggggg time since ive had standard radio in my car maybe 5 years.
im running an aftermarket stereo mate.
