Wiring a capacitor into your sound system
My sound system is draining power from my battery, every time a bass note is hit the headlights dim down. I was told installing a capacitor would counter act this problem. I have the capacitor but was wondering anybody got a tip on wiring the dam thing???
Can i wire it directly on to the terminals at my AMP,,, (12v and grd) or just before the amp, or even at the battery???
Also just found out you hav to charge it before connection or you could damage the caps!!!
Need opinions asap
Cheers

Re: Wiring a capacitor into your sound system
Wired in my 1F cap yday, and tested it last nite, driving with my headlights on, but there is still a dimming, dont think it helped at all!!!
I wired the - to grd and 12+ to the + end of cap and another lead from + of cap to the + terminal of the amp!
Am i doing this correct, Can you wire it in series,,, i.e 12+ from batt to the + of cap then from - cap to the + terminal of AMP?
Help would be greatly app
Cheers
Long live Fiat :P
