    Default Project: moderate beasty

Well i have brought myself a nice little Fiat Stilo Abarth completely standard. Which happened to get damaged after less than 24 hours >:(

    Lovely cramped engine bay

    Wicked interior

Well i have had the car for just over a week and have already debadged her, new grill on the front and also painted the engine cover. :P Also spent about 8 hours cleaning her getting rid of all the crap that has built up on the paint work. . ::)

Debadged front and rear, not cleaned yet

    Clean after hours of TLC

    Painted engine cover

And the cover on the engine.

And here is the water beading :D

Damage as done by a military LDV or work van; dont know what done it but it was done outside my work. Of couse noone came to admit liability. :censored

More to come soon. :P ( but not damage :><)

Quicker solution for Shaun now is rather than get a repair done would be to add one extra door ..that would raise a few eye brows wouldn't it ..a stilo 4dr :D

Well a little up-date: Went abit mad with the pictures.. :><

I started working on the car on saturday decided it was time to remove the alloys from the car ready for refurbing as they are a state and whilst i was there i took the time to paint the calipers red.

Well as i took the first wheel off i discovered that the O/s Shock absorber was leaking. (bastard) so it looks like i will be up-grading the supension sooner than i thought. Worked my way around the car, replacing the alloys with the second set of identical alloys.. :>< And painting the calipers. they look a treat but will need a second coat when i up-grade the brakes.

    And the leaking shock. :(

And for my day of rest "sunday", i decided what the heck will start preping the alloys for refurbing. Spent a good 7 hours wet-sanding and filling all the scraps and curb marks on the alloys as well as removing all the corrossion from the alloy. Managed to get two wheel completely ready for primer and the other two require a bit more wet-sanding on the body-filler then they will be ready to rock and roll :><

Still not decided what colour to go tho, im thinking black.

Oh and i also have a full Stainless Steel, exhaust system on the way from italy and german. Also im picking up my up-rated brakes at castle combe on 8th sept, some nice Front Black Diamond Drilled and grooved discs and Red Stuff pads. Might have some stopping power then..

Oh reminder to self stop spending money... :)
