Real shame about Turkington not defending his title. Really looking forward to it though, one of the best racing series out there. Shall also be good to see it again at Knockhill - will be the fourth time I've been to it :)

Thats a damn shame, one of the nice guys of the btcc. gonna be interesting with some teams using the new NGTC engines, and someone using a Golf

Phil Glew coming from the Clios, and a new BMW team. Fords will be strong this year, if they kept the pace they had in the last races last year. Honda are back backing the Dynamics crew again, but is now called the Honda Racing Team, so Chevy and Honda are the two factory teams. and Chevy are using the new Cruze that was in the wtcc last year, and Tom Boardman is back from the WTCC in his Leon, and its always interesting when he is on the grid, especially when in close proximity of Rob Collard (remember when they had the production class and Boradman was in the pink and black 306 and Collard in his white and yellow and black Clio).

gona be an epic year. cant wait

but no news on Johnny Herbert yet, and whether he will be back.

Anyone see the first race..bloomin carnage out there.. new compound on the dunlop tyres are proving to be a problem..honda racing went off like a train from the poll but both suffered puncture later on to lose the lead and third positions Sheddon and Neil..the flying Italian Geovinardi is back for a new Vauxall team and took the race..but was told from the pits to look after the tyres on the last few laps..by that time he was waaaay out in front anyway and the only way he was going to lose was a puncture..Plato came in second from 4th on the grid in the new chevy cruz WOOT !!!..but was having problems himself with understeer on the car.. both ford Eons went off with puntures as well with Chilton ending up ontop of a tyre barrier..second race gets started at 2.10..get up you lot the sun is shining and BTCC is back on the box on ITV4..

Shall need to download it, get bugger all signal on my Freeview with the ITV channels. Sounds like it's business as usual though

That bugger Matt Neil went and barged through in the last race and sen tRob Collard flying of the track..Rob collard would have won if neil hadnt seen the need for diry tactics..only consolation is his honda also ended up back in the pits with damaged suspension..Oh lord there is justice after all ..I also get the impression that Plato isnt impressed with the chevy cruz..said it needs more speed the lacetti was a flyer in last years event..it will need to be worked on by the engineers to ge a lot more out of the set up if he is gonna keep up with the vectra of Geovinardi and the honda's of Neil and Sheddon aka flash..Paul Oneil did well in his integra tho..his sister is an ex spice girl ..how cool is that..

Yeah, saw Neil do that at Knockhill last year at the top of the hill - got on the grass and took himself and Collard out. Still, was sat at track side with my sis and it was rather spectacular viewing

Oh and Paul O'Neil's sister's Melanie Chisolm aka Sporty Spice. Always thought of her as the fourth hottest Spice after Emma, Mel B and Geri. Was never and still am not a fan of the pointy faced bint Victoria Beckham

if i could be a driving in any motor sport it would be this . just for the fact they dont give a flying f**k lol :)
