My GF's Insurance !
my gf is soon to get her first car, and after being promised whatever car she wants by her brother, she's gone for an 2007 Audi 1.8, Used of course.
i laughed at her when she mentioned that, thinking insurance was gonna be about 5 g's. oh how i was wrong !
£780 !
i paid over 2000 on may pug 206 1.1 when i was 17 and she hasnt even started her first lesson and she gets that !
how can this be !

Re: My GF's Insurance !
If shes on a provisional thats why its cheap, you wait till she passes it will shoot up.
Young lads always get screwed over on insurance, It cost me £1300 for a 1.8 bravo when I was 19, and that was nearly 10 years ago.

Re: My GF's Insurance !
oh yeah when she has her full license it will at least double. for a 1st car a 1.8 of anything especially an Audi is a no no, female or not. you can still laugh, just give it time.

Re: My GF's Insurance !
lol. well when i had my impreza STi i quoted insurance in my own name and the lowest quote iirc was £6500 for the year, i was 21 with 2 years NCB. i'm paying £650 at the minute on the stilo.
her insurance should definitely double when she gets her full license mate. as red says just bide your time and you can have a right laugh lol

dont think he's gonna laugh then, well at least i would look for a gun
mine's gonna do a test soon aswell, but i'm looking at something like a smart roadster for her, looks great, small engine, good fuel consumption, a bit dear, but hopefully insurance wont be as dear...

Re: My GF's Insurance !
Guys i reckon you have all got it a little wrong, with the insurance thing. We all need to box clever nowadays as it keeps getting more and more expensive, despite what we drive etc etc, even with top NCB's and extra driving qualifications, guarding your car with an SAS squadron, in the middle of your own personal minefield, makes no difference either.
I hope the below helps, it works for me, and as most people know i am ver ycareful (aka: TIGHT!) with my money.
Firstly, shop around following this guide HERE:
Cheap Car Insurance: Compare 100+ quotes & grab hidden cashback...
THEN ONCE YOU HAVE WRITTEN YOUR QUOTES DOWN (obviously afer following the guide to lower your risk etc etc)
Then goto here: GreasyPalm - Cashback - Cashback Shopping - UK's First Cashback Site
create an account, and receive a cash sum for joining, THEN look for the insurance companies from step 1 which gave you your best insurance quotes.
See what cashback they are offering on the site and do your maths,
Example: If More Than quote you £500 and you can recieve £60 cashback then your insurance will cost you £440 (Well it will actually cost £437.50 ((You get £2.50 just for joining!)
But check as many companies who gave you a quote as possible, because even if you have been given a really low quote initially, you will receive the cashback as it is provided out of the insurance companies marketing pot, Some offer cashback over £100 so check a few and make some savings.
By the way the record for car insurance is 96p for a year.after cashback
You can even get breakdown cover for about £7 for the year after Cashback
By the way the cashback website will pay you after you make £25 cashback either by check, BACS or via a voucher (Your choice)
I do this every year and save a bundle on my Car, House, and landlords insurance (Even Ebay purchases attarct a portion of cashback)
So good luck, from Crosshairs, who is spreading a little love to his Fs buddies
Well worth a sticky i reckon! and lots and lots of thanks and praise from his bro's (But not Scottie cause he smells!)
