yyyeeeaaaaaaaaoooooooooooo!!!!! just gt myself a Nokia N97 Mini, and i bloody love it!

Me and the missus both have ours on the same contract, so we are thinking of opting out early and upgrading. She wants a iphone 3gs and i really fancy the HTC desire.. Look lovely those N97's, shes got the N95 at the moment and its a cracking phone, so bet the N97's even better..
yeah its a great phone trying to get to grips with it. i got it on orange through carphone warehouse £30 a month, 500min - unlim texts - 500mb data
he said i could have any phone in the shop and showed me the HTC desire and said its the best phone they had, i asked did it come in black he said no only brown and i said F that then give me an N97!

Brown lol? Its graphite haha.. all the reviews ive read say its an amazing phone,
Going to see if tmobile will let me upgrade first and take it from there.. Ive got a Nokia E71 at the minute and am sick of it locking up and the crap camera, but the camera on the N9x series phones is seriously good from what ive seen..
yeah Carl Zeiss 5mp on my n97 mini mate.
gonna try and take it back tomorrow ....... orange is sssssssshhhhhhhiiiiiiiiittttttttteeeeeeeeee
sh1t cant take it back just read on the carphonewarehouse website b@st@rd!! no bloody signal @ my house or at work!!!
but surely they have to take it back if im not getting signal @ home or work when they said i would??

Upgrade time's coming up for me soon too and though I do love my iPhone 3G I think swapping it for a 3GS is a bit boring. The one that's rumoured to be coming out the tail end of the year intrigues me though. Have been looking at HTC phones as well, the HD2 looks nice for a Windows Mobile device but wouldn't mind having a go on an Android powered phone to see how it compares with the Apple experience.
Before my iPhone I had had a string of Sony Ericssons starting with the classic T610 but the last one I had, the w880 was a piece of junk - one of the worst built, least durable mobiles I've ever used. I liked the interface though and the general design of the thing, just didn't think it was very well put together, oh and the camera was even worse than the one on the iPhone, which I actually think is pretty decent for a 2MP. Have heard some good things about certain new SE phones but think the majority still use that stupid adaptor for the headphones even on the Walkman versions, which seems crazy to me. Dunno about Nokia's, but wouldn't mind a try on one to see what I'm missing
Glad you like your new phone though Scottie![]()

You can take it back, you have signed a contract and are entitled to a 'cooling off' period.. Cant remember if its 7/14 days.
take a look here
http://selfhelp.carphonewarehouse.co...-000000000000}
it says i cant cancel my contract or anythin with orange

Sorry mate, you are right. Because you went into a shop to buy it the cooling off period doesnt apply I dont think, (i always get mine mail order).
But.. You have singed a contract based on the fact they are to supply you with a mobile phone service which you have been informed covered your house, and doesnt
The goods arent suitable for the purpose intended etc, so you can work that route.
I would speak to the shop quickly, in person, and demand to see the manager and explain that you have been mis-sold the phone/tariff as it doesnt cover the area where you intend to use it. If you get no joy get peoples full names, and say you are going to speak to trading standards as you have been sold goods that are unfit for the purpose for which they are intended (ie. Orange doesnt cover your house)..
it was the shop manager that sold it to me, and he said that it covers the hospital road, and i dont get any signal on it. i rang CPW and they have put notes on my policy and said that i have to go intoo store and speak to them. i should be okay........... hopefully.
