MOT Failure (or so it should have been)
Well its a year tomorrow that I bought my Stilo! How time flys.
So MOT took place today and it was a Fail (or should have been).
The bushes on the rear axle are practically shot (been knocking for a month or so now). Luckily my mechanic gets on well with the MOT station, to it was passed with these as advisorys.
So booking in for 2 weeks time (as mechanic is so busy
).
Going to be about £200 all in. First car (and funny enough the newest), that I've had pracically fail its MOT, but there is a first for everything, and I'm not going to bitch about it, as things do wear out and I've not an issue with that. Flew through on everything else though so I'm still relitivly happy, and I renewed insurance for a good price this afternoon also.
As for emissions go, the Lambda bit, how do they measure it? iirc max is 1.330 (or something like that), and mine was 1.328, so fairly close. Is this anything to need to be aware of for the next MOT?
Jon.

if the emmissions are that close to the "limit" you'll need to get it looked at. my stilo went through mot 2 years running with shot axle bushes lol. finially got them changed for last mot.
congrats on the pass mate

Yeah, that what I was thinking.
Not 100% sure if the tester tested it correctly, I mentioned it needs to be tested as an LPG vehicle when it was dropped off, but he might have still put it through as petrol

i seen an episode of wheeler dealers on discovery turbo where they had a S1 landrover v8 that was dangerously high on emmissions and they coverted it to LPG and the emissions dropped to like 10% of what it was running on petrol

Re: MOT Failure (or so it should have been)
Yeah I'm thinking there are cheaper alternatives to a £1k conversion lol!
Mine just passed it's MOT about half an hour ago and it had NO advisories. This is a first for any of my cars lol. I'm dead chuffed that finally the Stilo didn't let me down somewhere lol. To be fair though, I've ploughed alot of money and time into it. It's just pleasing to see that it paid off! Even the variator sounds better lol.
On the other side though, my Xbox has died. AGAIN. &^*$&*£(%*&!!!! Lets see if it ends up in Lancashire again lol
