the renewal quote said it's going to be £1800

i know i can find something better than this as i'm not going to pay that much for it, it has gone up last year, but that was only about £10, so i didnt even mind(obviously i had to make a phone call and say that i'm not paying that ammount, witch i think was £1300 so they scribbled £290 off...), but this is getting a bit too much

any1 else got any stupid renewal quotes so far? any ideas who should i go with, any ideas and insurance companies or advices are really welcome

thanks
Have looked into the CF insurance scheme with Chris knott here failing that compare the market or money supermarket is your best bet

It's because women are less likely to crash compared to men (so they say)

I know what you mean about insurance companys taking off money if you phone them,i was insured by Admiral then when i got the abarth i phoned them up and it jumped to 900 from 200 from the V.astra, so i did a comparison on "go compare" and got it down to 280 from More Than when i phoned Admiral they said they would drop it by 200 when i asked why this was possible the guy on the end of the phone said"well we dont drop the price of the insurance unless the person actually phones and complains/inquires" well i was gob smacked because i phoned they dropped it by 200quid
Luckily my insurance was due for renewal anyway but why on earth did they not just give me the cheaper quote in the first place, and given the car i would have prob just accepted it,so i would always recommend a comparison web site first then haggle with you own insurance company first cos they do ask you who provided the cheaper quote

Re: SCHOCKER - insurance renewal
I'm paying £350 with Adrian Flux fully comp and I've only got 3 yrs ncb plus an SP30 on my license. Have been driving since '98 though
Still, it's half what I would've been charged if I'd stayed with the AA and that was without the mods.
