Im going to fit the CDA and get the map done in the summer and leave the mods at that. Ive got to get the steering rack seen to first, least I think its that. It feels like theres a bit of play in the steering and a wierd click you can feel through the pedals when going round some corners.
Cheers for the recommendation and comments dan, ive heard good stuff about them before and the Midlands arent that far from leeds.
Thanks again

The weird click isnt anything to do with the steering ..thats a little bush moving backwards and forwards on the pedal box..if you can get at it bung a load of heavy grease around it to shut the thing up..

Re: My Stilo Abarth
Got the CDA fitted now, was quite easy other than the problems that I caused myself (see my other thread lol). Removed original airbox and unscrewed the MAF and housing from that, Bolt the lot to the top of the CDA and fitted the neoprene ducting to the little vent in the side of the bumper. So no engine warning lights or anything.. and gotta agree with dan, it sounds awesome.
Airbag issues sorted too, thought it may have been the OCS or seat wiring but checked that and by the look of the DIY bullet connectors in the airbag wiring someone has been there before.. turned out to be the D4 connector near the battery was soaked. Bit of a clean with some contact cleaner, day later no problems at all.
So all is well now, just waiting for some good weather to give it a real good clean, and get my skirts stuck back on flush (the poppers have broke in one corner).

Re: My Stilo Abarth
I was the other way round sort of, had the moneypit that is a 156 selespeed, was a lovely car, but it cost me over £1200 in 6 months of ownership so I got rid. I then had a Punto HGT but my little boy wouldnt fit in the back with a front facing seat so got the Stilo.
I did read about your poorly shuey. I walk to work so the abarth costs me about 15-20quid a week in petrol, and its only £390 quid a year insurance.
The stilo is the first car ive had in a long long time that I really enjoy running and driving, few niggles need sorting every now and then - just an excuse to get the spanners out
