It'll need a VOSA exam and registered correctly, else if he has a bump or is pulled over on a VOSA / Police Operation, then he will find himself in a heap of trouble for example

Insured as 1300cc when its a 1700cc = Fraud by False representation (Serious criminal offence)
Taxed as 1300cc = (See above)
No insurance = Car seized under Section 165 of the Road Traffic act 1988 (At risk of being crushed - as it will need to be registered properly before it is re insured - YOU only get a short period of time that it can be reclaimed back from the Police pound and you need the correct docs to do so, else ----- Here comes the crusher!)

All the above is only if it goes wrong ever so slightly, if he has a serious crash and someone is hurt or worse, then the mods, whilst more than likely as good and safe as any, could be percieved to be casue to class the vehicle as unfit for purpose!

Well tbh it was inhetited from my late bro in law - we looked after it for a while but unfortunately I didnt have the expertese or the funds to keep it going, It sat on that driveway (undercover and between the houses) for a while, but mother nature was beginning to take over so decided to sell it on to someone who DID have the funds and expertese.

In the end I sold it to a guy who lived in Greece, who already had the rally version and loved it soooo much he wanted a road going version too!

It was a shame to see it go, would have certainly kept it if I could, but we did what was the right thing for the car itself. (Not before I'd had plenty of sideways fun in it though )

at least it went to a caring owner mate, lovely lovely example. looked really clean. they do nothing but go sideways lol
